Live2Lead is coming to Benton County!

We are hosting a leadership event in our community to unite people from all walks of life, including those from the hospital, real estate, manufacturing, and education sectors. Our full-day event features a phenomenal lineup of broadcast speakers.

Tiffany Bova will discuss the research aspect of investing in your team and how it influences your team's interaction with customers, leading to exponential growth for your business.

Anthony Trucks is a former NFL player and an American Ninja Warrior. He has a great passion for helping people live successful lives based on their purpose, rather than simply chasing success. 

Jesse Cole is a creative genius. He will inspire your team with incredible ideas to generate excitement among your customers and within your organization. He represents culture on steroids.

And of course, John C. Maxwell is one of the world‘s most renowned leadership experts. If you’re unfamiliar with John, he has written over 90 books on leadership.

Presidents around the world have asked him to come and transform their countries due to the principles he advocates.

Most importantly, this is a day for your people to be fed, feel valued, and connect with one another on a deeper level.

Raising the Next Generation: A Call to Lead with Purpose in Benton CountyBy Randy C. Nash

As I reflect on the community we’re blessed to be part of—Benton County, with its proud towns of Vinton, Urbana, and others—I often ask myself four foundational questions. These questions guide how I view our present and dream about our future:

1. What kind of kids do we want in our community?

2. What kind of community produces that kind of kid?

3. What kind of leaders produce that kind of community?

4. What kind of person develops those kinds of leaders?

These questions aren’t abstract or philosophical but practical, personal, and urgent. They matter because our answers shape the place we are building together, and the time to act is now.

Let’s begin with the first: What kind of kids do we want in our community?

We want kids who are kind, courageous, and grounded in values. Young people who grow up with purpose know how to work hard, treat others respectfully, think critically, and make wise decisions. We want future citizens who love their hometowns and can give back. We want kids who carry confidence without arrogance and compassion without compromise.

Then we must ask: What kind of community produces those kinds of kids?

Thankfully, in many ways, we’re already witnessing it. Benton County has wonderful families, dedicated teachers, flourishing churches, robust local businesses, and service-oriented individuals. There are countless examples of neighbors assisting neighbors, youth actively serving their schools and churches, and local leaders striving to make a positive impact. This is something we should all take pride in!

But there’s always room for growth. A community that consistently raises excellent kids is intentional about its values. It fosters strong schools, safe neighborhoods, and trusted institutions. It values character as much as achievement and provides kids encouragement and accountability.

Such a community requires strong leadership. Which leads to the following question: What kind of leaders produce that community?

We need leaders rooted in humility and guided by integrity—people more interested in making a difference than making a name. Whether in our city councils, school boards, classrooms, church pulpits, or local businesses, we need leaders who listen well, lead courageously, and model the life they hope others will live.

And finally, what kind of person develops that kind of leader?

That’s where you and I come in. Leaders don’t appear out of nowhere. They are shaped by mentors, friends, parents, pastors, coaches, and community members who see potential and speak life. Leaders are built when people pour their experiences, encouragement, and wisdom into others. They are developed by individuals who care enough to invest in the next generation.

I’m thrilled to share that I plan to host a Live2Lead simulcast in Benton County this October. This event offers a unique opportunity to unite, learn from global leaders, and strengthen our community.

Live2Lead is a dynamic, half-day leadership event created by John C. Maxwell. It features some of the world’s most respected voices in leadership and personal development. It offers educators, business owners, public servants, church leaders, and everyday citizens an opportunity to refine their leadership skills and enhance their impact.

We don’t have to wait for someone else to change the world. We can start right here, right now—together. If we want stronger kids tomorrow, we need stronger leaders today. If we desire a better future for Benton County, we must continue building on what’s already good and intentionally grow in areas where we can improve.

The kind of kids we dream of raising will be shaped by the example we set, the community we nurture, and the leaders we produce.
